How far for a touch (2025, 11:45, two-channel installation)

The work, inspired by Eduoard Glissant's concept of "the right to opacity," touches on the theme of migration and border technology. One channel retells and fictionalizes the filmmaker's experiences in nail salons in London, whose staff are Vietnamese migrants. The other channel is a montage of promotional videos by border technology companies. The idea is to tell a similar narrative through two different and perhaps conflicting trails of images.

Collages were made by cutting images extracted from promotional videos by border technology companies.

The list of border technology companies was informed by the work of Migrants' Rights Network, among others.
